* Dec. 9 -- David M. Skinner, 48, Bloomfield, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, released on $4,000 bond, and scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 14. Bloomfield Police Department Deputy Marshal Harvey Holt was the arresting officer.

* Dec. 10 -- Robert M. Motto, 38, Jasonville, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Bond was set at $8,000. Jasonville Police Department Officer Danny Keller was the arresting officer.



The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included one fraud, one follow-up investigation, one information only, three juveniles/delinquent, one assist to the utility department after hours, one school/foot patrol, one accident with property damage, one funeral escort, one hazardous materials disposal, six medical/illness, one alarm, three animal complaints, one VIN check, one suspicious vehicle/person, two assists to other agencies, four thefts-other, one animal/debris in roadway, one disabled/stranded vehicle, one 911 prank/false call, one assist to the utility department, three community relations and three traffic stops.

* Dec. 6 -- No injuries were reported in an accident involving two vehicles at 9:14 a.m. at a stoplight on State Road 54 East. One vehicle was exiting the Angell's lot and preparing to turn east onto S.R. 54. Another vehicle was exiting the CVS lot and preparing to cross S.R. 54 and enter the Angell's lot. Both vehicles had a green light. With sun in the eyes, the first vehicle did not see the second, began the turn and struck the second on the driver's side. Property damage was estimated at $10,001-$25,000. Failure to yield was listed as the primary cause of the accident with the contributing circumstance of glare. LPD Patrolman Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.

* Dec. 7 -- A drive-off theft was reported by Murphy USA gas station on State Road 54 East after a blond female in a green Envoy pumped $51.42 worth of gasoline then left without paying and headed west. LPD Patrolman Debbie McDonald is the investigating officer.
