Doris Imogene Garrett, 67, of Lewis, passed away at 9:17 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2007 at Sullivan County Community Hospital.
She was born Aug. 11, 1940 in Dugger to William and Dochia (Pitcher) Cullison McCoy
She previously worked at General Electric in Linton, Keller Chair Factory in Linton and Wood's Wire in Jasonville. She is a member of Jasonville Church of God, where she served as pianist for 25 years.
She is survived by her husband,Marvin L "Sonny" Garrett of Lewis; daughters, Debra Yan of Katy, TX and Susan Waterman of Fairbanks; sons, Randy Eugene Garrett of Peru and James Garrett of Lafayette; two brothers, James Ladson and Albert Ladson, both of Jasonville; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Jasonville Church of God with Pastor Jonathan Heard. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville and from noon until time of service time at the church on Friday.
