Marjorie H. Parker Raines, 96, of Jasonvillle, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007 at her residence.
She was born July 4, 1911 in Clay County, the daughter of Ethel M. Parker Smith.
She married husband, Orval J. Raines on Sept. 17, 1932. He died Jan. 17, 1969.
She worked for Cyberling Rubber Company in Barberton, OH in her early years. As her family started she enjoyed being a homemaker.
She attended Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church of God.
Survivors included: daughters and son-in-law, Rose Ella and John Edmonson of Jasonville; son and daughter in-law, Vernon Eugene and Sharon Raines of Jasonville;
grandchildren: Angela K. Streacker, Glenda Swaby, Vernon James Raines, Mark Allen Raines and Amber Dawn Raines; great-grandchildren, Gregory Allen Cullison, John Streacker, Faith Streacker, Courtney Helen Swaby, Megan Swaby, Dylan Swaby,
Josiah Clark, Kyia Raines, Khloe Raines, Christian Raines and Layla Raines; great-great-grandchildren: Gregory Cullison and Kadyn Cullison; and a brother, Warren E. Smith of Jasonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and stepfather, John B. Smith
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with Pastor Vernon E. Raines and Pastor Larry Goodman officiating. Burial will be in Peavey Cemetery
Visitation will be from 5 -- 8 P.M. Wednesday and after 9 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
