Oneta L. Noel, 80, of Bloomfield, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 26, 2007 at Monroe Hospital in Bloomington.
Born March 19, 1927 in Calvertville, she was the daughter of Charles B. and Ona (Hunter) Crites.
She worked at NSWC Crane in the ordnance department, and she worked at Pielemeier Pharmacy in Bloomfield. She was also employed as a teacher's aid at Bloomfield school. She was a member of the Concord General Baptist Church in rural Bloomfield.
Surviving relatives include her husband Marion A. Noel of Bloomfield; one son, Mark Noel of Bloomfield; two daughters Deborah Noel-Harshman of Bloomfield, and Trudy Skidmore of Lawrenceburg; one brother, Harwood Crites of Lewis; twin sisters Mable Johnson of Cicero and Mary Sheets of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Sam Noel; one infant brother; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Erin Raper and Rev. Galen Judy officiating. Burial will follow at Calvertville Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
