|Karen Kay Fisk, 67, of Jasonville passed away at 5:10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008 at Linton Nursing and Rehab Center in Linton.|
Born Sept. 17, 1940 in Brazil, she was the daughter of Walter Lee Pointer and Audrey Leota (Armpriester) Pointer.
She had worked at Formfit, Crane, General Electric in Linton, Northern Coal Company Worthington Mine. She was a graduate of Coalmont High School and valedictorian of the class of 1958.
Suvivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Jerri and Terry Pearson of Switz City and Anita and Louis Lorenzo of Jasonville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lee Ann and Joe Don Wise of Coalmont and Cheryl Faught of Jasonville: grandchildren, Daniel Felker, Joshua and Kendra Felker, Kenley Blackmore, Alexa Pearson, DaLynne Pearson and Joseph Lorenzo; great-grandchildren Christopher Felkr; aunts, Mary Griffith and Kate Kurzhal, both of Jasonville; and uncle Wert Pointer Jr. of Linton; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephewes.
She was preceded in death the father of her daughter -- whom she married on Aug. 5, 1961 -- on Jan. 28, 1961; her parents; son-in-law: Kenny Blackmore and brother-in-law, Danny Faught.
Visitation will be conducted between 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Chris McKinney and Pastor Harold Thomas officiating. Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
