William Hubler, 92, of Odon, passed away at 7:55 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2008 at Lyons Health and Living Center.
He was born May 5, 1915, in Martin County, the son of William J. and Lillian (Sterling) Hubler.
He married Hazel Shelton, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 4, 1999.
He had been a truck driver for Odon Milling Company for 30 years.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Shirley Hubler, Battletown, Ky.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Darlene and Brian Blackmore, Worthington, Janet Hubler, Marietta, Ga.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Also, a half-brother, Emerson Keith Sims of Odon, and a step-sister, Opal Petty of Vincennes, both survive.
He was preceded in death by seven step-brothers, Carl, Oren, Noel, Ira, Ray, Faye and George Sims; a step-sister, Macile Firestone; his step-father Emerson Sims; and his first wife, Almeda (Dye) Hubler.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Poindexter-Hall and McClure Funeral Home Odon Chapel, with burial following in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
