She was born in Linton on Feb. 18, 1924, the daughter of Elmer and Alta (Roberts) Davis.
She was a homemaker and was lifelong member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church in Linton where she taught the Altruist class at the church for several years.
Since childhood Emma had a love of art but chose to devote her energy to raising the couple's seven children. She pursued her art interest in later years when her devoted husband built her a studio. The two of them traveled to art workshops together until her health failed.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harold James Morrison, Sr. of Linton; three sons, Harold James Morrison, Jr. and his wife, Gayellan, of Bloomington, William Morrison and his wife, Kathy, of Linton and John Morrison and his wife, Donna, of Carmel; three daughters, Beth Bennett and her husband, Bob, of Linton, Melinda Alton and her husband, Herb, of Linton, and Emma Jane Seamone and her husband, Mark, of Bedford; two sisters, Pat Elgan and her husband, Estel, of Linton and Nola Mae Hollifield of Ocean City, NJ; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Anne Hancock; a grandson, Lucas Hancock; and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Olive Branch Baptist Church in Linton with Revs. Myron Young and Dan Kemp officiating. Burial will follow at the Olive Branch Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
