Billy Nance Page, 82, of Loogootee, passed away at 6:45 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008 at his residence.
Born July 20, 1925, in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of John R. and Billie (Coomes) Page.
He served in the U.S. Navy and Air Force in World War II, Korean War and volunteered for service in Vietnam. He retired from the Air Force in 1964 after 21 years of service. He retired from Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane in 1981 after 17 years of service.
He had attended Tell City schools and was of the Christian faith. He was a member of Loogootee American Legion Post No. 120, Loogootee Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9395 and Washington Moose Lodge No. 1080.
Survivors include his wife, Sue (Strawn) Page, whom he married June 20, 1991 in Owensboro, Ky.; two sons, John Page of Crane and Joseph Page of Zepher Hills, Fla.; one daughter, Vickie Page-McGhee of Bloomfield; one stepson, Troy Deshong of Plainfield; two stepdaughters, Tina Crane of Loogootee and Tiffany Dishong of Cannelburg; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; two brothers, Don Page of Washington, Conn., and Gary McMahon of North Fort Myers, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no funeral service.
Visitation was held Monday night at Lee Funeral Home, Loogootee.
Preferred memorials are to Helping Hearts Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
