Baker family thankful for recent support

Monday, January 28, 2008

To the Editor:

On Friday, Dec. 14, God called another angel to be with Him in Heaven. Carolyn Baker lost her five-year battle with cancer.

The outpouring of prayers, love, food, flowers, cards, and momentos we received during the last six months, and in memory of our wife, mom, grandma, sister, and aunt, Carolyn Sue Baker, was overwhelming.

We would like to thank Dr. Jackie Joyce and Hospice of Greene and Monroe counties, all the nurses and aides for their wonderful loving care of her; Scott, Gary and George at Lester Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home for taking care of us; Eleanor Pope and Janice Hardesty for the beautiful music and song; and Arlen Pope, Billy Ed Hostettler, and Keith Long for the very special eulogy; Antioch Christian Church for all the visits, cards, prayers, love, flowers, and most of all the abundance of delicious food sent to us continuously during her sickness and at Thanksgiving and Christmas; neighbors for all the food, visits, and prayers.

We thank you and may God bless each and every one of you.

To all our family and friends we thank you for all your love, prayers, kindness, and for sharing all your wonderful memories of Carolyn with us. May God's hand touch and richly bless each one of you.
