Mary Margaret Himebrook, 79, of Linton, passed away at 3:30 p.m.Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at the Linton Nursing Home.

She was born in Linton on Dec. 7, 1928, the daughter of Claude and Anna May (Jeffers) Hawkins.

She worked during her younger years at Real Silk in Linton and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Nine Mile Methodist Church, a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Columbian Chapter #140, in Linton and several sewing clubs.

She is survived by her husband whom she married Nov. 11, 1951, Carl Himebrook of Linton; two daughters, Mary Rebecca Davis and husband, Robert, of Linton, and Ruth M. Stewart and husband, Kevin, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; two sons, David M. Himebrook and wife, Jeannie Camosy, of Wayzata, MN and John William "Bill" Himebrook and wife, Joan, of Greenwood; a sister, Virginia Lee of Linton; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Margaret Ann Himebrook; and two brothers, Claude, Jr. and John Hawkins.

Funeral services will be held at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 11 a.m.. on Wednesday, with Rev. Harold Nolting officiating. Burial will follow at the Switz City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-9 p.m., and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
