Beverly J. "Jeannie" Sparks, 76, of Jasonville, passed away at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.
Born Nov. 3, 1931 in Flint, MI. she was the daughter of Merele Rex Sinders and Lillian J. (Johnson) Sinders
She was married on April 6, 1952 to George L Sparks, who survives.
She worked for Metropolitan School District of Shakamak as Secretary to the Elementary Principal for 40 years, retiring in 2006.
Other survivors include: son and daughter-in-law: Rick and Eva Sparks of Worthington; daughters and son-in-law Niki & Rick Jackson of Jasonville; grandchildren, Jason and Sarah Jackson, Jeremy and Shelly Jackson, Joshua, Jackson, Nicholas and Tasha Sparks, Elizabeth and Sonny Hallenbeck; great-grandchildren, Rebekah, Lenzie, Mackenzie, Shelby, Illieona, Daeon, Jarreth, Ricki and Syleena and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Shakamak Elementary School Gym in Jasonville with pastor Dana Coverstone officiating.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until noon Thursday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville and one-hour prior to services at the the school gym.
Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery at Midland.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jeannie Sparks Memorial Fund to offset expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and at the school.
