JAIL LOG

* Feb. 7 -- Gregory P. Norton, 45, Bloomington, was arrested on a body attachment and was released Feb. 8 on $500 bond. Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Dured Townsend was the arresting officer.

* Feb. 7 -- Dale R. Hall, 23, Bloomfield, was arrested on a preliminary charge of failure to register as a sex offender. Bond was set at $4,000. Greene County Sheriff's Department Det. George Dallaire was the arresting officer.

* Feb. 7 -- Rodney A. Reed, 42, Elnora, was arrested on preliminary charges of domestic battery, intimidation and criminal confinement. Bond was set at $9,000. Indiana State Police Trooper Eric Nash was the arresting officer.

* Feb. 8 -- Lowell A. Sutton, Sr., 37, Greenwood, was arrested on a warrant and was being held on $4,000 bond. Indiana State Police Trooper Byran Goodman was the arresting officer.

* Feb. 8 -- Bobby J. Nichols, 31, Linton, was arrested on a warrant and was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff's Department Reserve Deputy Bob Richardson was the arresting officer.

* Feb. 8 -- Erik K. Tosti, 30, Bloomington, was arrested on a preliminary charge of failure to appear, was being held without bond and scheduled to appear in court on Apr. 14. Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Bryan Woodall was the arresting officer.

* Feb. 9 -- Brian E. Carpenter, 36, Linton, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated - refusal. He was released on $4,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15. Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeremy Inman was the arresting officer.

* Feb. 9 -- Sandra L. Botkin, 43, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of three counts of dealing in a Schedule II controlled substance and was being held without bond. Linton Police Department Patrolman Debbie McDonald was the arresting officer.

* Feb. 10 -- Dale E. McCutcheon, 24, Bloomfield, was arrested on a warrant from Monroe County. Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Terry Wade was the arresting officer.

* Feb. 10 -- Matthew J. Fulford, 25, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of domestic battery and battery resulting in bodily injury. Bond was set at $5,000. Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Chris McDonald was the arresting officer.

Linton Police Department Activity Log

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included one trespassing, one license plate check, one check for a wanted person, one title check, two follow-up investigations, four requests for information only, two assists to the utility department after hours, two incidents of vandalism, one drug investigation, two school/foot patrols, one accident with property damage, eight medical/illness, one alarm, two animal complaints, two suspicious vehicles/persons, two assists to other agencies, two harassment complaints, one child abuse/neglect, one possibly intoxicated driver, one extra patrol, one theft-other, one theft-motor vehicle, two arrests-wanted on warrant, two domestic disputes, two incidents of battery and five traffic stops.

* Feb. 6 -- No injuries were reported after an accident involving two vehicles at 8:48 a.m. on State Road 54 near the intersection with 5th St. N.E. Lauren Karazsia, 18, Linton, was eastbound on S.R. 54 in a 2003 Mitsubishi 300GT behind Jackie L. Busenburg, 18, Linton, also eastbound in a 1999 Chevy Tahoe. When Busenburg began to stop for traffic that was stopped in front of her, Karazsia did not notice in time to avoid a collision and struck Busenburg's vehicle on the rear bumper. Damage was estimate at $2500-5000. Safety belts were in use. LPD Patrolman Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.

* Feb. 8 -- Lowell A. Sutton, Sr. of Greenwood and Lisa A. Sutton of Linton were both arrested after a traffic stop at Main St. and B St. N.W. Lowell Sutton first provided police with a false identity but after his true identity was confirmed, warrants for both were also confirmed. Lowell Sutton was wanted on a Greene County warrant for theft. Lisa A. Sutton was wanted on a Hendricks County warrant for theft. Both subjects were arrested without incident and transported to the Greene County Jail. LPD Det. Josh Goodman was the investigating officer assisted by Det. Duane Collenbaugh.

* Feb. 9 -- A woman reported an incident of criminal mischief after she got off work at 3:15 a.m. and found the windshield of her car had been hit and chipped while it was parked in the back parking lot at Glenburn. LPD Patrolman Debbie McDonald was the investigating officer.

* Feb. 9 -- A man reported his truck stolen between 12:30 and 4:30 p.m. It was a green 1996 Ford Ranger with a tool box, chrome running boards, chrome running boards and bed rails with Legion plates. It had been parked southeast of the American Legion with the keys in it. LPD Cpl. Paul Clark was the investigating officer.

* Feb. 9 -- A woman reported an incident of intimidation, harassment and criminal mischief occurred at the N'Zone Bar at 11:33 p.m. after a person threw beer at her and another person. The beer-thrower was then thrown out of the bar. According to the police report, the woman's son then reported that a short time later, a person drove past and threw rocks through a window. LPD Patrolman Heath Murray was the investigating officer.

* Feb. 9 -- A man reported being battered at 3:38 a.m. outside the Palace Bar. LPD Cpl. Paul Clark was the investigating officer assisted by Patrolman Heath Murray.

* Feb. 10 -- A man reported being battered at 3:00 a.m. outside the N'Zone Bar. LPD Patrolman Heath Murray was the investigating officer assisted by Cpl. Paul Clark and Reserve Officer Tim Riggleman.

* Feb. 10 -- When officers went to Wal-Mart at 4:20 p.m. to arrest a suspect, Dale E. McCutcheon, 24, Bloomfield, on a warrant, they found him hiding in a bathroom. According to the police report, he was found with two cell phones on his person. The packages were found in the bathroom. Hovey was arrested and transported to jail. LPD Det. Josh Goodman was the investigating officer with assistance by Reserve Officer Harry Hovey.
