Forest D. Howell, 75, of Indianapolis and formerly of Koleen, passed away 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born July 15, 1932 he was the son of Helen Howell.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Koleen Union Church and the American Legion Post No. 22 in Linton. He owned and operated Howell's Dozing in Ocala, Florida and was also a barber.
Surviving relatives include: three daughters, Cathy Lucero of Jasonville, Nancy Dyer of Linton, and Barbara Anderson of Ocala, Florida; two sons, David Howell of Linton and Steven Howell of Bloomington; one sister, Phyllis Jent of Indianapolis; two brothers, two more sisters, 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday at Koleen Union Church with Rev. Lloyd Swango officiating. Interment will be in Howell Cemetery in Koleen where military services will be conducted by American Legion Post No. 22 Linton.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one-hour prior to services Saturday at Koleen Union Church.
