Charles Andrew Stuffle, 86, of Loogootee, passed away at 1:55 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008 at his residence.
Born Dec. 29, 1921 in Daviess County, he was the son of Henry and Audrey (Greenwood) Stuffle.
He worked as an ordance supervisor at NSWC Crane for 35 years before retiring He attended the Hindostan United Methodist Church in Loogootee.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Mae E. (Boyd Hugunin) Stuffle of Loogootee; children, Sandy (Carl) Morgan of Indianapolis, Jenny (Jerry) Halderman of Loogootee, Mary Beth Lagle of Loogootee, Sue Inman of Vincennes and Wayne (Vicki) Stuffle; step-children Bill (Barbara) Boyd of Loogootee, Linda (JD) Smith of Odon, Nancy (Ken) Smith of Las Cruces, Mexico; one brother, Max (Eleanor) Stuffle, Bloomington; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-gtrandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mona McCain; brother, Robert Stuffle'; one step-son, James Boyd; and one step-grandson ,Gart Salmon.
There will be a Memorial Service announced at a later date. There will be no calling.
Charle's ashes will be buried at Newberry Cemetery.
The family wishes all donations be made to Hindostan United Methodist Church 4185 Parsons Lane Loogootee, In. 47553, or Friends of the Loogootee Library.
Arrangements are being handled by Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
