He was born April 13, 1945, in Marion, IL, the son of Hubert N. and Ethel Mae (Hill) Malone.
He was a retired auto body worker and of the Christian faith.
Survivors include: his wife, Veleta (Dailey) Baxley Malone, to whom he was married
Feb. 20, 1980; two daughters, Angel Malone of Gurnee, IL and Cassandra Doer and her husband, John, of Eldorado, IL; a son, Edward Baxley and his wife, Patti, of Bloomington; seven sisters, Opal Osborne of Alvarado, TX, Barbara Lawrance of Goreville, IL, Sharon Horn of Grand Chain, Il, Carla Nichols of Vienna, IL, Shirley Malone of Carrier Mills, IL, as well as Dianne and Renee of Montana; eight grandchildren, Glen, Patricia, Carla, Joey, Jasmine, David, Tashia and Heather; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Hubert Malone, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel with Rev. Mike Roth officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
