GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
* Mar. 5 -- No injuries were reported as a result of a single-vehicle incident at 1:30 a.m. on U.S. 231 near County Road 450 South in Taylor Township. April King, 36, Bloomfield, was northbound on U.S. 231 in a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee when a deer ran into her vehicle and caused damage to the driver's side. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy Inman was the arresting officer.
* Mar. 4 -- Songchia N. Swafford, 29, Bloomington was arrested on a petition to revoke and was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff's Department Reserve Officer Jeffery Payton was the arresting officer.
LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Linton Police Department's activity log for Tuesday included one title check, one medical/extraction, one transfer of a 911 call, one request for information only, three assists to the utility department after hours, one accident with property damage, four medical/illness, one animal complaint, two assists to other agencies, one burglary, one disabled/stranded vehicle, one fingerprint for a gun permit, one domestic dispute and one ordinance violation.
* Mar. 4 -- A resident on N. Main St. reported a burglary had occurred while they were gone for a day. The returned to find a door had been forced open, a deadbolt pried and numerous items missing from their home including a stereo system, a Stanley toolbox with various tools, a leather jacket and an Elvis towel. LPD Patrolman Karl Jacobshagen is the investigating officer.
