LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Linton Police Department's activity log on Monday included one fraud, one follow-up investigation, four requests for information only, one school/foot patrol, one utility repair, two accidents with property damage, one funeral escort, two mental cases, one medical/illness, one animal complaint, one suspicious vehicle/person, three assists to other agencies, one harassment complaint, one extra patrol, one community relations, one ordinance violation and one traffic stop.
* March 10 -- Police are investigating a case of hit and run which occurred sometime between 4:30 p.m. on Sunday and 11 a.m. on Monday. A mirror had been knocked off of a 2006 four-door Toyota which was parked on the south side of the 800 block of E. Vincennes St. facing east. LPD Patrolman Karl Jacobshagen is the investigating officer.
GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
* March 10 -- John A. Pennick, 37, Linton, was arrested on a preliminary charge of failure to appear and was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy John Fowler was the arresting officer.
