Ray Davis, 75, of Bloomfield and formerly of Elwood, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born May 13, 1932 in Elwood, he was the son of Oliver and Edna (Hillard) Davis.
He was a security officer for Initial Security in Indianapolis, retiring in 2001. He attended Wendell Wilkie High School, was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was a member of the Zion Chapel Church in Elwood.
Survivors include: his wife, Nancy (Greaige) Davis of Bloomfield; two daughters, Rhonda Davis and companion Ralph Jarrett, Jr. of Indianapolis and China Doll and husband Ray Daughtery; two sons, Ray Davis, Jr. and wife Shana and Ralph E. Jarrett III; foster daughter, Kathy Walker; a sister, Norma J. Lane; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Ruby M. Davis; a brother, George Bailey; and two sisters, Annabell Shultz and Helen Butcher.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Knox Chapel Cemetery in Grant County with Rev. Rob Wilkes officiating.
There will be no visitation.
