GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

* Mar. 17 -- No injuries were reported after an accident at 6:08 a.m. caused by a deer that entered a roadway. Charles Harden Jr., 59, Orleans, was westbound in a 2000 Ford Ranger on State Road 58 near County Road 1350 East in Jackson Township when he struck the deer causing damage to the front and passenger side of the vehicle. GCSD Deputy Terry L. Wade was the investigating officer.

* Mar. 17 -- John Johnson, Jr., 33, Bloomfield, was transported to Bloomington Hospital after an accident at 7:35 a.m. involving two vehicles in Richland Township on State Road 54 east of Bloomfield at County Road 530 East. Johnson was eastbound on S.R. 54 in a 1981 Chevrolet pick-up truck and did not see Graham Helms, 17, Bloomfield, driving a 2001 GMC pick-up truck, when Helms attempted to pull out onto the highway from County Road 530 East. Johnson struck the Helms vehicle in the driver's side door. GCSD Deputy Terry L. Wade was the investigating officer. Others assisting on the scene included GCSD Det. George Dallaire, Bloomfield Police Department, Richland-Taylor Fire Department and Bill's Auto.

* Mar. 14 -- Malinda L. Bailey, 28, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of battery upon an officer, resisting law enforcement, resisting law enforcement with a vehicle and was released on $8,500 bond on Mar. 15. Linton Police Department Det. Josh Goodman was the arresting officer.

* Mar. 15 -- James Matt Hayes, 41, Jasonville, was arrested on preliminary charges of public intoxication and possession of methamphetamine, released on Mar. 16 and scheduled to appear in court on Mar. 21. Bloomfield Police Department Deputy Marshal Brad Deckard was the arresting officer.

* Mar. 15 -- Clifford R. Edwards, 36, Jasonville, was arrested on preliminary charges of three counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was released on $4,000 bond. Bloomfield Police Department Deputy Marshal Brad Deckard was the arresting officer.

* Mar. 15 -- Cletus C. Padgett, 61, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of three counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, released on $4,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Mar. 21. Indiana State Police Trooper Brad Stille was the arresting officer.

* Mar. 16 -- Jerry L. Anderson, 43, Jasonville, was arrested on a preliminary charge of disorderly conduct, released on $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Mar. 21. Jasonville Police Department Officer Ryan VanHorn was the arresting officer.

* Mar. 16 -- Christopher J. Flynn, 21, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of three counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, released on $4,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Mar. 21. Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeremy Inman was the arresting officer.

* Mar. 16 -- Anthony J. Shute, 19, Newberry, was arrested on preliminary charges of three counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, released on $4,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Mar. 24. Worthington Police Department Deputy Marshal Don Richardson was the arresting officer.

* Mar. 17 -- Kerry Hasler, 52, Newberry, was arrested on preliminary charges of four counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, fleeing, resisting law enforcement by force, battery upon a law enforcement officer and criminal mischief. His bond was set at $22,000. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy Inman was the arresting officer.

* Mar. 17 -- Scott Stahl, 29, Bloomfield, was arrested on preliminary charges of criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, public intoxication and resisting law enforcement. Bloomfield Deputy Marshal Brad Deckard was the arresting officer.

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included one incident of trespassing, one breaking and entering, one follow-up investigation, one transfer of a 911 call, six requests for information only, one vandalism, one custody dispute/exchange, one accident with personal injury, six accidents with property damage, one off-road vehicle complaint, nine medical/illness, six animal complaints, two prowlers, four suspicious vehicle/person, three assists to other agencies, six harassment complaints, one child abuse/neglect, one speeding vehicle, one reckless driver, one extra patrol, four thefts-other, two welfare checks/concerns, one 911 prank or false call, one assist to the utility department, one fingerprint for a gun permit, one domestic dispute, one animal/canine removed and nine traffic stops.

* Mar. 14 -- A resident on Rural Route 2 reported an incident of criminal mischief when they found a rear window of their residence had been broken between 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. LPD Det. Josh Goodman was the investigating officer.

* Mar. 14 -- An elderly resident complained to police about repeated incidents of harassment that happens mainly during the day. Their telephone keeps ringing just one time but there is never anyone on the phone. LPD Reserve Officer Kyle Butler was the investigating officer.

* Mar. 16 -- A resident reported a case of unauthorized control of her vehicle. She advised police her ex-boyfriend is still driving her car even after she asked for it back a week earlier. She doesn't want to file charges, but just wants her car back. LPD Patrolman Karl Jacobshagen is the investigating officer.
