* Mar. 19 -- Joseph V. Sachtjen, 42, Bloomfield, was arrested on a petition to revoke and was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy John Fowler was the arresting officer.



The Linton Police Department's activity log for Wednesday included one request for information only, one assist to the utility department after hours, one accident with property damage, one medical/illness, one alarm, one animal complaint, one suspicious vehicle/person, one harassment complaint, one community relations, one ordinance violation and one traffic stop.

* Mar. 19 -- Police are investigating incidents of phone harassment and prank calls directed at an elementary student. A resident reported their young relative has been receiving these calls after 3 p.m. and has been the target of extensive harassment at school. LPD Patrolman Karl Jacobshagen is the investigating officer.

* Mar. 20 -- No injuries were reported after a Linton resident crashed into a decorative light pole at 6:05 a.m. The driver was westbound on S.R. 54 preparing to turn north on 4th St. N.E. Having just left their residence, they used washer fluid to clear the frost from the windshield which caused the windshield to fog over. They thought they were in a position to turn, but when they did, they collided with the decorative light fixture.
