Constance P. Clensy, 92, of Owensburg, passed away 9:37 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford.
Born May 9, 1915 in Chatham, New York, she was the daughter of Hamilton and Sarah (Tanner) Southworth.
She was a homemaker and worked as a cook for the Delta Delta Delta soroity at Indiana University in Bloomington. She was a member of the Owensburg Baptist Church and the Solsberry Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Pauline Diehl of Owensburg; two sons, Everett Philip Clensy of Middletown and Mark S. Clensy of Springville; six grandchildren and eleven great, grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Wilbur Clensy on March 15, 1964, one brother, Alden Southworth, one grandchild, Kirk Diehl, one great, grandchild, Morgan Clensy, and her parents.
Services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Jim Dwyer and Dave Atkins officiating. Interment will be in Owensburg Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one-hour prior to services Wednesday The Solsberry Order of Eastern Star will conduct services 7 p.m. Tuesday.
