Glenora Ellen Skinner, 80, of Bloomfield. passed away at 9:41 p.m.. on Sunday March 31, 2008 at Glenburn Home in Linton.
Born Oct. 22, 1927 in Linton, she was the daughter of Samuel and Claireva (Chipman) Haywood.
She sold Tupperware and was a homemaker. She attended the Minerial United Methodist Church.
Surviving relatives include: her husband Miles O. Skinner of Bloomfield; three sons, Nick Skinner (Janet), Ned Skinner and Ken Skinner (Debbie), all of Bloomfield; 13 grandchildren, Nikki Scheerer of Jacksonville, FL., Brentt Skinner of Tampa, FL., Jessica Laue, Kristin Laue, Jarrod Skinner, Shandi Skinner, Nathan Skinner, Sydnee Joe Skinner, Jaysce Skinner, Shane Skinner, Amber Skinner, Shanna Skomp and Gavin Skinner, all of Bloomfield; nine great-grandchildren, Kyler Scheerer, Zoie Scheerer, Darin Bell, Brycen Skinner, Shaylee Skinner, Lane Skinner, Hank Skomp, Miles Skomp and Katie Joe Skinner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Wilma Nelle Coker; one brother, Lawrence Lee Haywood; step-father Roy Smith, two daughter-in-laws Janie Skinner and Sanfra Skinner.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler and Brother Steve Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Thursday and after 1 p.m. Friday at at the funeral home.
The family asks that all donations be made to the Southern Care Hospice in care of Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
