GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

* April 8 -- No injuries were reported after an accident involving one car and one deer at 7:03 a.m. on County Road 200 South just east of State Road 59. Cynthia F. Wedel, 39, Lyons was westbound on C.R. 200 S. in a 1999 Olds Intrigue when a deer crossed her path and she was unable to avoid a collision. The vehicle sustained minor front end damage and was able to be driven from the scene. GCSD Deputy J. Aaron Smith was the investigating officer.

JAIL LOG

* April 7 -- Joe W. Turner, 54, Bloomfield, was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery with injury and was being held on $1,000 bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy Cook was the arresting officer.

* April 7 -- Leslie D. Wilson, 51, Bloomfield, was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery with injury and was being held on $1,000 bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy Cook was the arresting officer.

* April 7 -- Brian L. Talley, 49, Worthington, was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery with injury and was being held on $1,000 bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy Cook was the arresting officer.

LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT

ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department's activity log on Monday included one fight, two protective order violations, one loitering, one medical/illness, four animal complaints, two suspicious vehicles/persons, two assists to other agencies, one motor vehicle theft, one 911 prank or false call, two fingerprints for gun permits and one community relations.

* April 6 -- Regonel "Reggie" Petoskey, 40, of Sullivan was arrested on West Vincennes St. at 2:10 p.m. on a preliminary charge of public intoxication and disorderly conduct. LPD Officer Debbie McDonald was the arresting officer.

* April 7 -- Police are investigating an incident of invasion of privacy after a resident reported they have an active protective order against a man who came into their home and took articles belonging to the resident. LPD Patrolman Jayson Smith is the investigating officer.
