Born July 11, 1928 in Bloomington, the daughter of George Samuel and Fannie Lee Smiley Pate.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: six sons, James Ray Sciscoe of Sullivan, Delbert Charles (Lisa) Sciscoe of Solsberry, Wesley Dennis (Camille) Sciscoe of Solsberry, Russell Glen Sciscoe (Frieda) of Solsberry, Randall Scott (Becky) Sciscoe of Spencer and Sam Sciscoe; five daughters, Phyliss Ann (Dennis) Abrams of Bloomfield, Esther May Bell of Solsberry, Gloria Jane (Joe) Hewitt of Farmersburg, Shelia Rose (Doug) Stephens of Linton, Sarah Green and Marcia Cicci; two brothers, Harold Pate of Bloomington and Oscar Pate of Texas; two sisters, Mary Agnes of Oklahoma and Doris Marie Manning of Texas; in-laws, Kris Scisco, Melvin Bell, Jr., Connie Sciscoe and Margaret Sciscoe; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Sciscoe; five brothers, Wilford Carfton and Sam, William Austin and Jimmy Pate; a sister Georgianna Carpenter; and an in-law, Julie Watts.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel in Bloomington with Rev. Anthony Warner officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.
