Kathleen Cooksey, 79, of Solsberry, passed away 7:20 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at her residence.
Born October 23, 1928 in Solsberry, she was the daughter of Troy and Geneva (Crane) Campbell.
She was an assembly operator for RCA in Bloomington and a member of the Solsberry Christian Church.
Surviving relatives include: her husband, Elmer Cooksey, whom she married January 4, 1947; her children, Connie Frye and her husband Dave, Kathy Thompson, and Gary Cooksey all of Solsberry; one sister, Hildred Kent of Solsberry; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Robinson of Filmore; six grandchildren, Christine Strauser, Brian Thompson, Bradley Thompson, Ryan Cooksey, Josh Cooksey, and Ashley Cooksey; 14 great-grandchildren, Marissa Thompson, Katie Strauser, Natalie Strauser, Donovan White, Chase Thompson, Bailey Brooks, Conner Thompson, Caleb White, Keith Thompson, Caitlyn Cooksey, Hunter Thompson, Chance Cooksey, Broedy Knepp, and Kyleigh Hasler.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ronald and Rodney.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Kyle Strauser and Rev. Byron Williams officiating. Interment will be in Solsberry Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 1 hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Riley Children's Hospital.
