Bulldog golfers earn split

Union (Dugger) High School fired a 195 as the Bulldog golf team placed second in a triangular match at the Sullivan Elks Club Golf Course Wednesday.

Led by low medalist Jason Millikan, who shot a two-over par 37, Turkey Run won with a total of 166. North Central was third with a 211.

Bubbi Lucas led the Bulldogs (8-9) with a nine-hole total of 40. Taylor House carded a 48, Michael Talpas 53, Selby Shott 54 and Caleb Hale finished with a 58.

"It was good to get another win," said Union (Dugger) coach George Sly. "Bubbi was within striking distance of the low medalist.

"It has been a while since we have beaten Turkey Run. It was a windy night and that was hard to overcome tonight. We played like I anticipated we would. We are right around .500, which is respectable for us."

The Bulldogs will be off until Thursday, May 8 when they play at Sullivan Elks against North Daviess.
