Letter to the Editor

Linton family appreciates community support

Monday, May 12, 2008

To the Editor:

The family of Jordan Sprang would like to take the time to thank everyone for the outpouring of sympathy expressed during the sudden passing of our beloved son, Jordan Lee on March 11, 2008.

We are thankful for the immediate response from the EMTs, Greene County General Hospital Staff, friends and family for the assistance given.

The prayers, loving cards, gifts, and donations extended from so many in the community including: Area churches, Welch and Cornett Funeral Home, Todd Walton, friends, family, Jordan's physical therapists, occupational therapists, visiting nurses, the city of Linton staff, Linton City Barn staff, Linton-Stockton Elementary School, and so many others we cannot possibly mention everyone.

Please know that without God, your prayers and support, a very difficult situation would have been impossible to get through. Our gratitude for the beautiful, heartfelt eulogy delivered by Minister James Stone, gave us hope and lifted the heavy burden on our hearts.

We sincerely thank each and every one, some who remain anonymous, for the love Jordan received and for the respect given to our family in his honor. Though Jordan's life on Earth was short, his memory will remain with us forever.

Please continue to pray for our family and his twin brothers, Justin and Jared.

Shelley and Mike Sprang
