Born March 3, 1938 in Linton, he was the son of Francis D. and Ruth E. (Stark) Harp.
He had retired from Pfizer in Terre Haute after 33 years of service. He was an U.S. Army veteran, a member of American Legion Post No. 22 and Masonic Lodge No. 560, both of Linton, the Scottish Rite and Zorah Shrine, both of Terre Haute and the Greene County Shrine Club.
Survivors include two sons, David M. Harp, Jr. of Isle of Wight, England and Michael L. Harp of Tuscola, IL, a daughter, Paula Bundy of Isle of Wight, England; a sister, Sue McDonald of Linton; a brother, Monty Harp of Linton; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and his former wife, Patricia Harp of Isle of Wight, England.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his second wife, Jacqueline Harp.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel with Rev. Ron Henwood officiating.
Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The Linton American Legion will conduct military graveside rites.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday with Masonic Services at 7 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Saturday until the hour of the service.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association through the funeral home.
