Charles Wesley Kirk, 92, of Dugger, passed away at 7:40 p.m. Saturday May 17, 2008 at Glenburn Home in Linton.
He was born in Sullivan County on Sept. 6, 1915 to Grover Cleveland Kirk and Evaline Alumbaugh Kirk.
He was a member of the First Christian Church in Dugger, and the Evergreen Masonic Lodge in Indianapolis for more than 50 years. He was an auto mechanic in Linton for over 50 years.
Survivors include: two sons; James O'dell Kirk of Indianapolis, Ralph C. Kirk of Linton; a daughter; Bertha Mae Richardson-Hawkins of Dugger; one brother Earl T. Kirk of Fairbanks; three sisters, Vera Jean Harris, Hazel Price, and Mary Alice Kirk, all of Mooresville; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Beulah Isabella Goodman Kirk in 1994; and a daughter Alice Faye Marshall.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church in Dugger.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with Masonic services at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Burial will be in the Dugger Cemetery.
