James E. Dierdorf, 75, of Trail Creek, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2008 at his home.
Born Feb. 24, 1933 in Spencer, he was the son of Irvin and Tracy Dierdorf.
James was a retired millrite from Bethlehem Steel after 33 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the 3rd Armored Division and was stationed around the world.
On Oct. 23, 1972, he married Frances J. Drummond who is surviving in Trail Creek.
Also surviving are five children, Kim (Ed) Nohlan of Cape Coral, FL; Michael of Naples, FL; James (Laura) of Farmington, MI; Roxanne (Eric) Maines of Silverplume, CO and Bruce of Trail Creek; five grandchildren; two sisters: Helen Bailey of Jasonville and Barbara (his twin sister) McKinnley of Paxton.
Preceding him in death is one daughter: Theresa; two sisters: Phyllis and Louise; and three brothers: Wayne, Roy, and Paul.
Viewing will be held on Saturday from 10 until noon at the Root Funeral Home in Michigan City. Cremation will follow viewing and burial will be on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.
