Harold Lloyd Dickey, 91, of Pilot Knob, Mo. and formerly of Jasonville, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Iron County Hospital in Pilot Knob.
He was born June 21, 1917 in Jasonville, the son of John Dickey and May (Borders) Dickey.
He retired as a coal miner from Peabody Coal Company and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy (Herb) Siddle of St. Louis, Sharon (Alan) Harriss of Arcadia, MO and daughter, Shirley Dickey of Indianapolis; brothers, Willard Dickey of Mishawaka, Dean Dickey of Jasonville, Jack Dickey of Shelburn; and grandchildren, Bruce (Sandy) Siddle, Ron (Cynthia) Siddle, Michael Siddle, Mark (Pam) Siddle, Steven Dickey, Bob (Kim) Dickey, Shari (Mike) Pinson, Krista (Mark) Meinders, Alisha (Waylon) Cavinder; and great grandchildren, Daniel (Staci) Dickey, Ben and Megan Dickey, Rachel and Sarah Dickey, Jon (Jackie) Siddle, Kevin (Becky) Siddle, Brittany, Ryan, Alex, Erica, Adam and Cheyenne Siddle, Erin Harris and Joseph Pinson; and great grandson, Kale Allen Dickey; and well as nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Iona May (English) Dickey who died on Nov. 13, 2001; his parents; a son, Raymond L Dickey; a brother, Max Dickey; and sisters Delores Dickey and Florence Kirkwood.
Services were conducted at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville on Saturday with Pastor Bob Dickey and Pastor Darren McDonald officiating.
Burial was in Walker Cemetery in rural Linton.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Good Hope Baptist Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
