Jack A. Martindale, Sr., 62, of Bloomfield, passed away 10:40 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born Feb. 5, 1946 in Linton, he was the son of Albert and Mildred (Hawkins) Martindale.
He was a truck driver for RCA and attended the Little Cincinnati Christian Church. He was a member of the Solsberry Masonic Lodge and the Solsberry Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Ardena Chaney of Springville; one son, Jack Andrew (Andy) Martindale, Jr.; his wife, Sara, of Springville; one brother, Jess Lee Martindale of Bloomington; one sister, Carolyn Marshall of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Austin Chaney, Levi Martindale, Adrienne Chaney, Makayla Chaney, and Briar Martindale; and his ex-wife, Rachel J. Martindale of Springville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Willis and Roy Eugene Martindale.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Henry Mann, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home. Solsberry Masonic Lodge services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family asks that all memorial donations be made to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children in care of Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home.
