The Linton Police Department's activity log for Thursday included two title checks, one follow-up investigation, three requests for information only, three assists to the utility department after hours, one protective order violation, one alcohol-related incident, one structure fire, one transport of documentation, three accidents with property damage, one hazardous materials disposal/wash down, one alarm, six animal complaints, one suspicious vehicle/person, one harassment complaint, one 911 prank/false call, one ordinance violation, one battery and three traffic stops.

* July 9 -- Police are investigating a theft after the Country Porch on State Road 54 West reported a coin machine at a car wash had been pried open and $300 worth of coins had been taken on July 8. LPD Det. Duane Collenbaugh is the investigating officer.

* July 9 -- Police are investigating the theft of a gold ring with rubies and diamonds set in a sunburst pattern. The ring went missing from a residence on E. Vincennes St. last spring. LPD Patrolman Debbie McDonald is the investigating officer.
