Dola B. Long, 80, of Bloomfield, passed away at 11:40 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008 at her residence.
Born September 6, 1927,in Greene County, she was the daughter of Douglas and Edith (Jeffers) Huffman.
She retired from G.E. She also worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone from 1949-1960. She also worked at Crane. She was a member of Bloomfield United Methodist Church, Greene County Historical Society and Greene County Landmarks.
Survivors include: her children, Doug Long of Bloomfield, Debbi Smith (Tim) of Tucson, AZ, and Tom Long (Rita) of Bloomfield; Grandchildren, Lindsey Dobson(Matt) of Louisville, KY, Patrick Jilbert of Louisville, KY, Carson Long of Bloomfield and Mariah Long of Bloomfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Donald Long (June 11, 1975).
Services will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church in Bloomfield, with Rev. Kevin Raidy and Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
