The Linton Police Department's activity log for Tuesday included three follow-up investigations, three requests for information only, two assists to the utility department after hours, one incident of vandalism, two accidents with property damage, three medical/illness, one animal complaint, two assists to other agencies, two harassment complaints, one theft-other, one arrest-wanted on warrant, one animal/canine removed, one ordinance violation and three traffic stops.
* July 29 -- Matthew D. Rodriguez, 27, Route 2 (Baseline Rd and 5th St. S.E.) Linton, was arrested at 6:17 p.m. and transported to Greene County Jail where he is being held without bond. A warrant was out for Rodriguez's arrest for failure to appear and a petition to revoke on charges involving resisting law enforcement and public intoxication. An officer who was aware of the warrant saw Rodriguez riding his bike westbound on State Road 54 in the area of Linton Motors and stopped him in the parking lot. LPD Cpl. Chad E. Crynes was the arresting officer.
* July 29 -- A resident reported a driver had hit a vehicle parked on E. Vincennes St. then left the scene. LPD Patrolman Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.
