JAIL LOG

* Aug. 1 -- Ray G. Rose, Jr., 27, Washington, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with prior convictions and driving while suspended with prior convictions and was being held on $9,000 bond. Indiana State Police Trooper John Yung was the arresting officer.

* Aug 1 -- Jessica L. Cantrell, 30, Odon, was arrested on a preliminary charge of driving while suspended with a prior, released on $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 8. Linton Police Department Patrolman Debbie McDonald was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 1 -- Kenneth D. Eberhardt, 32, Dugger, was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana and resisting law enforcement, released on $2,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 8. Indiana State Police Trooper Harry Bedwell was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 1 -- Ella V. Jeffers, 30, Bloomfield, was arrested on a warrant, released on $4,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 6. Greene County Sheriff's Maj. Michael Hasler was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 1 -- Nathan S. Howard, 20, Paducah, was arrested on a warrant from another county and was being held without bond. Indiana State Police Trooper John Yung was the arresting officer.

* Aug 1 -- Omer P. Hooker, 49, Indianapolis, was arrested for contempt of court and was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff's Lt. Bryan Woodall was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 1 -- John G. Sparks, 51, Solsberry, was arrested on a preliminary charge of theft, released on $8,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 8. Greene County Sheriff's Det. George Dallaire was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 1 -- Joseph R. Jones, 42, Bloomfield, was arrested on a warrant out of Clay County and was being held without bond. Indiana State Police Trooper Kent Winstead was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 2 -- Tony A. Harl, 34, Worthington, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, released on $4,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 8. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy Inman was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 2 -- James Kindred, 55, Bedford, was arrested on preliminary charges of driving while suspended with a prior conviction and leaving the scene of an accident, released and scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 8. Greene County Sheriff's Reserve Deputy Brad Richards was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 2 -- Steven Sipes, 43, Worthington, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction and was being held without bond. Linton Police Department Cpl. Paul Clark was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 3 -- Justin Rawley, 23, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, released on $4,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 8. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy Inman was the arresting officer.

ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included one fraud investigation, one title check, three requests for information only, one assist to the utility department, two incidents of vandalism, two custody disputes/exchanges, two protective order violations, one structure fire, two accidents with personal injury, two accidents with property damage, one lost and found, six medical/illness, two alarms, one animal complaint, four suspicious vehicles/persons, five assists to other agencies, one possibly intoxicated driver, one extra patrol, two thefts-other, one disabled/stranded vehicle, one welfare check/concern, two motor vehicle thefts, one domestic dispute, two ordinance violations and three traffic stops.

* Aug. 1 -- Jessica L. Cantrell, 30, Odon, was arrested after a traffic stop at Roosevelt and 12 St. N.E. was conducted around 3:25 p.m. on a 1997 Dodge Intrepid car for having expired license plates. Cantrell was the driver. When the officer checked her driving privileges, they found Cantrell did not have a valid operator's license. She was booked into jail on a preliminary charge of driving while suspended with a prior conviction. Cantrell was released after posting $1,000 bond. Her vehicle was impounded for expired plates and no financial responsibility. LPD Patrolman Debbie McDonald was the investigating officer.

* Aug. 2 -- Steven Sipes, 43, Worthington, was arrested at approximately 10:35 p.m. following an accident involving a 1996 Kawasaki Yell motorcycle at the intersection of 6th St. S.E. and C St. S.E. When an officer arrived, Sipes appeared to be intoxicated and failed standard field sobriety tests. He was transported to the Greene County Jail where he registered 0.16 BAC. He was booked on three preliminary counts involving operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. LPD Cpl. Paul F. Clark was the investigating officer.
