Mary Susie Brown, 65, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008.
Born Oct. 9, 1942, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Marjorie (Hoke) and Lawrence "Red" Hudson.
She graduated from Ellettsville High School in 1960. She continued to manage the Alice Pearson Memorial Scholarship for the class. She was retired from the Indiana University Bookstore.
She is survived by one daughter, Ranee (Brown) Love and her husband, Freddie, of Bloomington; one son, Rusty Brown of Bloomington; one granddaughter, Alyssa Mounce of Bloomington; three sisters, Sandy Lane (Everett) of Ellettsville, Sally Belcher (Rick) of Bloomington and Sylvia Underwood (Mike) of Solsberry; nieces and nephews, Jimmie Dean Coffey (Phyllis), Jayne Ann Moriarty (Mitch), John Figg II, Charity Cowden (Roger), Janna Deckard (Marty), Jinni Fleetwood (Billy) and Joni Figg (Jonathan Bennett); several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and ex-husband, Jerry Brown.
Visitation is Saturday at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville from 4-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Union Church in Hendricksville on Highway 43. John Baker will officiate. Burial will follow at Solsberry Cemetery.
