JAIL LOG

* Aug. 23 -- Evan L. Lyday, 25, Farmersburg, was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of methamphetamine, released on $4,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 29. Jasonville Police Department Officer Danny Keller was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 23 -- Neal A. Strange, 29, Solsberry, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear and was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff's Reserve Deputy Josh Fuller was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 23 -- Curtis E. Carson, 43, Linton, was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery resulting in bodily injury and was being held on $1,000 bond. Linton Police Department Cpl. Paul Clark was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 23 -- Jeffrey L. Meier, 45, Midland, was arrested on a warrant and was being held without bond. Jasonville Police Department Officer Ryan VanHorn was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 23 -- Jeremy Salesman, 31, Dugger, was arrested on a body attachment and was being held on $1,000 bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Aaron Smith was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 25 -- Robert J. Henderson, 44, Bloomfield, was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery resulting in bodily injury and was being held on $1,000 bond. Bloomfield Deputy Marshal Shane Smith was the arresting officer.

ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included one incident of littering, one fraud, three follow-up investigations, four requests for information only, one fight, one juvenile/delinquent, four assists to the utility department after hours, four vandalism, one shots fired, three public intoxication, one structure fire, one vehicle fire, one transportation of documentation, one accident with property damage, one funeral escort, one lost and found, three medical/illness, one alarm, two animal complaints, one assist to another agency, one burglary, five harassment complaints, one theft-other, one bicycle theft, one welfare check/concern, one domestic dispute, three ordinance violations and three traffic stops.

* Aug. 22 -- A resident reported incidents of fraud and identity theft after they discovered an unknown person as been using their name and identifying information to obtain credit services. The case has been transferred to another agency. LPD Cpl. Paul Clark was the investigating officer.

* Aug. 22 -- A resident on I St. S.W. reported a burglary which occurred sometime between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Missing items included $30 worth of quarters and several types of medications. LPD Cpl. Paul Clark is the investigating officer.

* Aug. 22 -- A rural resident reported incidents of criminal mischief that had been occurring for a couple of weeks. Multiple items in the yard had been stolen or broken. LPD Patrolman Heath Murray is the investigating officer.

* Aug. 23 -- A Lyons resident reported an incident of criminal mischief which occurred at 9:30-10 p.m. Their vehicle was hit with an egg, which damaged the paint on the hood, as they were riving on State Road 54 near the railroad track. LPD Det. Josh Goodman was the investigating officer.

* Aug. 24 -- A rural resident made a complaint involving harassment - a person keeps calling their residence cursing, yelling and accusing the resident of being a child molester. An officer observed the callers number on the resident's caller ID screen. LPD Patrolman Heath Murray was the investigating officer.
