Saundra Sue Blair, 71, of Clay City, passed away at Royal Oaks Rehabilitation Center in Terre Haute, Monday, Aug. 25, 2008 following a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 16, 1936, the daughter of Lester and Grace (Fields) Heaton.
She worked as a bank teller at Citizens National Bank in Linton. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Church of Christ in rural Lyons.
She married Rex D. Blair April 5, 1957, he survives.
She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Evelyn Heaton; a niece Linda Utter and husband Gary of Noblesville; a nephew Hal Anderson and wife Judy of California; three great nephews: Ryan Anderson and wife Thaeo, of Michigan, Brad Beard and wife Julia and Bart Beard and wife Janice; four great nephews Patrick Beard, Justin Beard, Jet Anderson and Eric Muencher; one great-great niece Kate Anderson; sister-in-law Marilyn Blair; nephew David A. Blair and wife Cathy and Kathy Sullivan and husband Tom; sister-in-law Norma Blair; great nephews Eric and Joshua Sullivan and a niece Kristina Blair.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Ovid and Pat Heaton as well as two sisters Portia Heaton and Adele Anderson.
Services will be at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home in Clay City at 1 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Steve Rundell officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 11a.m. until time of services.
