Thomas R. "Tom" Schulz, 69, of Bloomfield, passed away Monday, Sept. 8, 2008.
Born in Bloomington on Aug. 9, 1939, to Roy and Mable Hartman Schulz.
After graduating From Bloomington High School, he served in the United States Air Force before spending his professional career as an iron worker with Local 22 of the Iron Workers Union.
Survivors include his sons, Timothy Schulz and wife Crys of Solsberry; Mark Schulz and wife Pam of Bloomington; Bryan Schulz of Bedford; Dustin Schulz of Stinesville; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brothers Glen William and James Paul Schulz and sisters Patricia Blake, Susie Rhinehart, and Treva Turpin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mable Schulz; a son, Tony Schulz; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Allen Funeral Home, 4155 South Old Highway 37.Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 4-9 p.m. and for one-hour prior to the service Friday at 10 a.m. with Reverend Donald Lane from Cornerstone Pentecostal Church. Burial will follow in the Valhalla Memory Gardens.
