The Linton Police Department's activity log for Tuesday included four requests for information only, one custody dispute/exchange, one protective order violation, one school/foot patrol, two accidents with property damage, three medical/illness, one animal complaint, one attempted burglary, three thefts-other, one ordinance violation and one traffic stop.
* Sept. 9 -- A resident in a mobile home on 11th St. NW reported around $200 of groceries she had just bought and a sword were taken from her home between 4-6 p.m. LPD Patrolman Jayson Smith is the investigating officer.
* Sept. 9 -- A resident of Terre Haute employed by Proctor & Gamble reported the theft of a computer while he was working at the local WalMart store. He was using the computer, with an estimated value of $3,000, while working on displays, turned around and it was gone. LPD Det. Duane Collenbaugh is the investigating officer.
* Sept. 9 -- Although nothing was missing from their home, a resident on 6th St. SE reported an attempted burglary after they came home to find their front door open. It had been locked but was pried open, possibly with a screwdriver. LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes is the investigating officer.
