Born Feb. 8, 1927 in Memphis, Tennessee, he was the son of Isaac Jefferson and Katy (Sykes) Haddock. He married Hazel Geneva Williams on March 21, 1948 at Hopkinville, Ky.
He owned, operated, and cooked at his own restaurant in Kentucky. He was an electromotive mechanic for NSWC Crane and in Clarksville, Tenn. for years. He was a shoe cobbler and tent maker.
He was a high priest in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Linton and helped with the geneology program for 10 years.. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #84 and Order of Eastern Star for over 25 years, the Greene County Genealogical Society and the Scotland Historical Society. He worked with the Jaycees for 4-5 years in the food tent and the Junior Miss program. He was a member of the Bloomfield American Legion Post 196.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Nancy Okalene (Royal) Burch Haddock, whom he married November 24, 1971; children, Landon Luther Haddock and wife Joyce of Clarksville, Tennessee, Geneva Perry and husband Daniel Sr. of Lexington, Georgia, Diann Noel Price and Fiance' Randy Gambill of Bloomfield, Wanda Sue Johnson and husband Richard (Dick) of Indianapolis, and Deborah Elaine Robertson and friend Sylvia Payne of Pelham, Alabama; Nancy's sons, Lester Burch of Lafayette, and Joseph Fielding and Asa Edward Burch both of Bloomfield; one sister, Florence Hollifield of Cowpens, South Carolina; grandchildren, Brandy Diann Noel Arkell, James Russell Noel III, John William Robertson, Melany June Haddock Lehman, Stormy Dawn Johnson, Steven Michael Johnson, Jonah Ryan Johnson, Daniel Lee Perry, Jessica Renea Perry, Sarah Marie Burch Riggins, Lisa Louise Burch VanDeventer, Maranda Denise Burch, Tabitha Marie Burch, Katelyn Jo Burch, Cindy Armstead, and Pam Ketch; great-grandchildren, twins, Logan Jeffery and Luke James Arkell, Ethan Daniel Arkell, Jordan Arkell, Garrett Orion Johnson, Victoria Jean Johnson, Virginia Sue Johnson, Megan June Lehman, Gabe Isaac Lehman, Cole Mathew Riggins, Blane Ryan VanDeventer, Ayla Marie Bland, Mya Jo Toon, George Wesley Ketch, Daniel Terry Ketch, Adam Lynn Armstead, Amber Lynn Armstead, Seth Akin, and Isabella Mae Byle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Edwood Haddock, and one sister, Mary lee Williams.
Services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Bishop Joe Wilson and Bert Astleford officiating. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home. Masonic Lodge services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Bloomfield American Legion Post 196 will conduct military honors.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital of Memphis, Tennessee in care of Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home.
