Rev. Dorothy Jean Pillow, 72, of Evansville, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

She was born May 3, 1936 in Westmoreland, TN and married husband Boise, on May 3, 1955.

She was a homemaker, and also worked as a teller at National City Bank, and Rosemary's Gifts. She was a member of Bible Center Cathedral for 35 years, where she was ordained on Sept. 28, 1988. Dorothy taught Sunday School and Bible Studies and visited the sick. She was a past President of the Flame Fellowship and ministered at the Rescue Mission. Dorothy was one of six children, and graduated from Hanson High School in 1955 and was a graduate of Grace Bible College.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Boise Allen Pillow; sons, Boise Glenn Pillow and wife Holly, of Elberfeld, Timothy Alan Pillow, of Evansville; daughters, Constance Jo Wedding and husband, Greg, of McCutchanville and Tamara Jill Young and husband, Charles, of Linton; grandchildren, Adam T. Wedding, Lauren Wedding, Allison Young, and Joel Young, Amber Rice, Josh Ice; great-grandchildren, Emily Rice, Trevor Ice, and Cheyenne Ice; brothers and sisters, Betty Jo Harris, of Madisonville, KY, Charles A. Harris and wife Margie, both of Madisonville, KY, Robert Y. Harris and wife Mary Helen, of Hansen, KY, Clara Moore and husband Fred, of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Brenda Hermes and husband Tim, of Newburgh.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Y. and Myrtle A. Harris.

Services will be held at noon on Friday at Bible Center Cathedral in Evansville with Pastor Rick Van Hoose officiating.

Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, at Ziemer Funeral Home, Central Chapel, and on Friday from 10-noon at Bible Center Cathedral.

Burial will be in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
