* Sept. 22 -- John D. Lawson, 38, Bloomington, was arrested on a warrant and was being held on $64,000 bond.

* Sept. 22 -- Charles R. Brummett, 66, Springville, was arrested on a preliminary charge of driving while suspended and released.



The Linton Police Department's activity log for Monday included one fraud investigation, one title check, one follow-up investigation, one protective order violation, one drug investigation, two incidents of criminal mischief, one funeral escort, two medical/illness, two animal complaints, one suspicious vehicle/person, one burglary, two harassment complaints, one bicycle theft, one welfare check/concern, one ordinance violation and two traffic stops.

* Sept. 19 -- A resident on NE E St. reported an incident of criminal mischief after they heard a loud noise on the south end of their mobile home around 9:20 p.m. LPD Officer Heath Murray was the investigating officer.

* Sept. 20 -- One person was reported injured in an accident involving two vehicles at 2:41 p.m. on State Road 54 W. at Marshall Ave. Brittany A. Rehmel, 17, Linton, pulled out of the parking lot at Bender Lumber onto the highway in a 2001 Chevrolet car, did not see and drove into the path of Helen Steele, 79, Linton, northbound in a 1999 Ford Taurus. Steele was transported to Greene County General Hospital in a personal vehicle. Damage to both vehicles was estimated to be over $5,000 and failure to yield was listed as the cause of the accident. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

* Sept. 21 -- A resident of Parker City reported 47 hydrocodone tablets were taken from their motel room. LPD Officer Debbie McDonald is the investigating officer.

* Sept. 22 -- A resident reported incidents of harassment involving unwanted text messages. LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes was the investigating officer.

* Sept. 22 -- A resident on NE G St. reported a 20" red BMX-style bicycle taken from their porch over the weekend. The bike had a pedal missing and a name written on the back of the seat. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.

* Sept. 22 -- Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief involving a public building. The City of Linton reported the barbed wire was down at the city pool, one post was broken and roof flashing was damaged. LPD Reserve Officer Kyle Butler is the investigating officer.
