To the Editor:

The Owensburg-Jackson Township Fire Department would like to thank the public for their support during their recent ribeye sandwich dinner.

The overwhelming response will enable the department to purchase much needed items to serve the citizens of Jackson Township more efficiently. The department would also like to thank everyone who supported their fundraiser raffling off a week stay in Branson, Mo.

The firefighters would like to extend a sincere thank you to Charles and Ann Hirth who graciously donated the week stay in Branson, Mo., at the luxurious Wyndam Resort. The winner was Chris Tincher and we are sure she will enjoy her trip!

We would like to personally mention a few members of the community who are always there to support the department and were a huge help during the Owensburg Founder's Day celebration and our fundraisers. Thank you to: Kim Waldridge, Randi Portee`, Rachel Nicholson, Charles and Anne Hirth, Derek Payne, Amanda Harkness, DeLisa Payne, and Angie Inman.

We are very appreciative of the time and support you show our department.
