Mabel M. Allen, 83, of Bloomfield, passed away at 7:53 p.m. on Thursday Oct. 2, 2008 at St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana in Indianapolis.
Born Oct. 7, 1924 in Koleen, she was the daughter of Elbert R. and Dottie N. (Fesler) King.
She was an assembly worker at RCA in Bloomington for 20 years and retired. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star No. 538 in Bloomfield, and the Past Matrons Club No. 538 and member of the Bloomfield First Christian Church.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Leslie Carl Allen of Bloomfield; two sons, Carl Dewayne Allen and his wife Sharon, William Leon Allen and his wife Pam, all of Bloomfield; one daughter, Doris L. Miller and her husband Bob of Bloomington; two brothers Gale N. King of Koleen and Gerald G. King of Dugger; one sister, Phyllis R. Todd of Dugger;10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 1 p.m. until the hour of service at Bloomfield First Christian Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bloomfield First Christian Church with Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler and Rev. Dave Wilde officiating. Interment will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.
The family wishes any donations be made to the Glenburn Home in Linton in Mable's name.
