* Oct. 15 -- Bennie P. Hamilton, 47, Solsberry, was arrested on a preliminary charge of failure to register as a sex offender, released on $4,000 bond on Oct. 16 and scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20. Greene County Sheriff's Det. George Dallaire was the arresting officer.

* Oct. 16 -- Matthew J. Perry, 25, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was being held on $8,000 bond. Jasonville Police Officer Danny Keller was the arresting officer.



The Linton Police Department's activity log for Wednesday included one breaking and entering, one illegal burn, one title check, two follow-up investigations, one request for information only, one juvenile/delinquent, one assist to the utility department after hours, one protective order violation, one drug investigation, two accidents with personal injury, one accident with property damage, one medical/illness, two animal complaints, one assist to another agency, one reckless driver, one animal/debris in roadway, two drug overdoses, one bicycle theft, one welfare check/concern and three traffic stops.

* Oct. 15 -- A 12-year-old girl reported that her blue/silver Mongoose bicycle was stolen while she was in the library. She had parked her bike at the bike rack at the Linton Public Library around 6 p.m. It was missing when she returned to the bike rack around 8 p.m. LPD Cpl. Chad E. Crynes was the investigating officer.

* Oct. 15 -- A female resident on NE G St. reported a protective order violation/invasion of privacy by another female around 7:50 a.m. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen is the investigating officer.
