Gregory Lee Thompson, 48, of Jasonville, passed away at 7:02 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008 at Sullivan County Community Hospital in Sullivan.
He was born May 17, 1960 in Linton, to William E. Thompson and Inez Maxine (Owen) Thompson
He was a self-employed carpenter.
Survivors include his parents, William and Inez Thompson of Jasonville; a daughter, Misti Rose Blanton of Dugger; sons and daughter-in-law: Rocky and Karen Caddell of Hymera and Eli Lee Thompson of Jasonville; sister and brother-in-law, Pam & Bill Kirk of Jasonville; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Marilyn Thompson of Linton; grandchildren: Gracey Caddell, Ally Caddell and Gaven Blanton; a niece and spouse, Anna and Brian Smith of Montgomery; a nephews and spouse, Bryce and Bonnie Thompson of Worthington, Dusty Kirk of Jasonville; a uncle and spouse, Wilbur and Ruth Anne Thompson of Linton; aunts and spouse, Shirley Martindale of Linton; Marilyn K. and Donald Dowden of Martinsville
He was preceded by his grandparents, Luther and Etta Thompson, Mary Seals Owen and Covert Owen.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the McClannahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Dwight Gould officiating. Burial will be in Peavey Cemetery at Howesville, IN
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to help with funeral expenses, envelopes are available at the funeral home.
