GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
* Nov. 5 -- Edwin D. Hoffeditz, 37, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of residential entry, domestic battery and possession of marijuana and was being held on $6,000 bond. Linton Police Cpl. Chad Crynes was the arresting officer.
* Nov. 6 -- John S. Ellis, 25, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was being held on $4,000 bond. Linton Police Cpl. Paul Clark was the arresting officer.

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Wednesday included two title checks, one incident of vandalism, one school/foot patrol, one accident with personal injury, one mental case, one medical/illness, one animal complaint, one assist to another agency, two harassment complaints, one extra patrol, one domestic dispute and one traffic stop.
* Nov. 4 -- A resident of Worthington reported a hit and run accident that occurred at 4:50-5:15 p.m. while their vehicle was parked in the CVS Pharmacy parking lot with their son inside the vehicle. He said an elderly female in a silver four-door car backed into the parked vehicle, then said they did not want to report the accident. There was minor damage in the low-impact crash. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.
* Nov. 6 -- John S. Ellis, 25, Linton, was arrested by LPD Cpl. Paul Clark around 12:45 a.m. at NW 9th St. and Glenburn Rd. and booked into Greene County Jail on preliminary charges of three counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
