Sanna Marceil Ammer, 85, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008 at a private residence.
She was born July 24, 1923 to Edwin and Leona (Byers) Hostettler in Greene County. She married Gib Ammer on Nov. 15, 1942.
She retired in 1988 from Bloomfield State Bank where she was the manager of the Newberry Branch for 32 years. She was a member of the Scotland Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include: one sister, Leoka Sue "Dumpy" Manis; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Carl Lynn of Mitchell; six grandchildren, Ed and Tracy Medina of Paducah, KY, Tom and Debbie Medina of Paducah, KY, Jamie and Matt Shell of Mitchell, Marcy Medina of Mitchell, Brian Lynn of Mitchell, Joe and Jenny Medina of Bloomfield; 15 great-grandchildren, Khristan, Jake, Courtney, Chelsea, Caleb, Megan, Cole, Cody, Derek, Lucas, Sydnee, Jaysce, Graysen, Morgan and Owen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gib; daugher, Sherry; son-in-law Tom Medina; and niece Tony Dee Moore.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and from noon until the hour of service on Sunday, at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery.
